Fluctus — Three Great Academies
Azure Academy | Location: District 12 | Subsidiary: Illuminati
Boasts the highest rate of End Stagnation ability awakenings among the three academies, renowned for its high technical prowess and free-spirited campus culture. However, it consequently falls short on ethical consideration and safety standards, drawing no small amount of criticism from the other academies.
Chaos Institute | Location: District 9 | Subsidiary: Freemasons
Considered "the most exemplary academy" — fair, humane, and home to academically outstanding students. However, it is correspondingly rigid and bureaucratic; due to its strict regulations on unconventional research, dropout rates tend to run higher than at other academies.
Corporations | Location: District 6 | Subsidiary: Deep State
An organization operated by many academy corporations, considered highly democratic in its own way. It is the most prosperous of the three academies, but simultaneously carries the greatest wealth disparity and stands on the verge of fragmentation.
??? [Chaos Institute]
A masked man dispatched on an undercover investigation of Kaus Institute. His true name is Kotoyorozu Kotoha. For reasons he cannot yet speak aloud, he keeps his face hidden behind a mask.
Léa Cœur de Lumière
A member of Chaos Institute's Purge Squad, age 16. Refined and courteous — a proper young lady in speech and manner. Harbors an unusual personal interest she is surprisingly candid about.
"He is indeed my enemy. I hate him and resent him. —But that's a separate matter!"
Witch of the Bonfire
A witch of Chaos Institute who oversees the sacred bonfire and its attendant spirits. Possesses an intimate understanding of the bonfire's laws — and a keen eye for the truth behind the power of those who stand before it.
Aimée Cœur de Lumière
Third-year at Chaos Institute and one of the vice-chairpersons of The Council. Léa's older sister. Graceful, princely, and genuinely kind beneath the grandeur — she speaks as though the world is a stage and she is its lead.
"Being honest is better. About everything. Pride and reservations — you'll have them, but still. It's better than regretting on your deathbed."
"So cry — and die."
At the end of the long road the man had walked stood a tower — the Tower of Babel. Before it, a rugged masked man of immense skill stood swaying, as though dancing in the rain.
